We are seeking an experienced MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) for a contractor role to manage, optimize, and maintain our database systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in MySQL database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and troubleshooting. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless database operations and high availability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Install, configure, and maintain MySQL database servers in production and non-production environments.
2. Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries for maximum efficiency.
3. Implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
4. Manage database security, access controls, and user permissions.
5. Perform regular database health checks, patching, and upgrades.
6. Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
7. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure database reliability and scalability.
8. Document database configurations, processes, and operational procedures.
