Sector - Public.Total Years of Experience 5 to 7 Years Relevant years of Experience 5 to 6 yearGerman Language Accessibility Testing expert Key Responsibilities and Required Skills: • Extensive hands-on experience in Accessibility Testing for Web, Mobile Native Apps, Desktop Applications, and PDF documents. • Strong understanding and practical knowledge of German Accessibility Guidelines (BITV 2.0), EN 301 549 standards, and accessibility requirements relevant to the German market. • Experience in Accessibility Testing involving German-language content, including validation of screen reader behaviour, contextual accuracy, language attributes, and localized user experiences. • Deep understanding of accessibility automation tools and experience using IBM Checker, Axe, WAVE, Level Access AMP, and other industry-standard tools. • Expertise in major screen readers including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack, with strong ability to evaluate assistive technology behaviours across German and English content. • Strong capability to analyze and understand Web, Mobile, and PDF applications and provide actionable accessibility solutions to development teams. • Willingness and ability to conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and accessibility training for peers and cross-functional teams. • Expertise in WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 Guidelines, IBM Accessibility Checklist, US Section 508, European Standards (including EN 301 549), Canadian Guidelines, and German Accessibility standards (BITV). • Expertise in ARIA concepts and best practices for creating robust, accessible user interfaces. • Work closely with development teams to identify, make, and prioritize remediation recommendations. • Prepare VPAT and Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) in compliance with global accessibility standards. • Strong knowledge of evolving global accessibility regulations including Section 508, WCAG 2.0/2.1/2.2 AA, EN 301 549, BITV 2.0, and other regional policies. • Ability to effectively communicate project status, risks, and accomplishments to leadership and stakeholders. • Experience serving in a lead role for accessibility testing across both web and mobile platforms. • Ability to guide, advise, and collaborate with design, development, and product teams to ensure accessibility compliance throughout the lifecycle. • Knowledge of accessibility requirements in regulated domains, including U.S. and international government environments. • Highly self-driven professional with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile environment and meet project deadlines. • Accessibility-related certifications such as 508 Trusted Tester, CPACC, WAS (Web Accessibility Specialist), or equivalent are an added advantage.
