Total Years of Experience 5 to 7 Years Relevant years of Experience 5 to 6 year Mandatory Skills Strong Expertise in Accessibility Standards & Guidelines WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 (AA) Section 508 Global standards (European, Canadian) ARIA concepts This is the foundation of the role. · Hands-on Accessibility Testing Experience (Web, Mobile, PDF) Manual & automated accessibility testing Tools: Axe, WAVE, IBM Checker, Level Access AMP Screen readers: JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack Practical testing skills across platforms are essential. Accessibility Leadership & Remediation Collaboration Leading accessibility efforts (web & mobile) Working with developers/designers on remediation Providing guidance, prioritizing fixes, and preparing VPAT/ACRs This role goes beyond testing into ownership and influence. Alternate Skills Good to have (Not Mandatory) Detailed Job Description Experience in to Web, Mobile, Desktop, PDF applications Accessibility Testing Deep understanding of all Accessibility Automation Test tools and experience in Performing Accessibility testing using IBM Checker, Axe, WAVE, Level Access AMP etc. Expertise in Screen Reader (Jaws, NVDA, Voiceover, Talkback). Capabilities in understanding the web, Mobile, PDF applications to be tested for accessibility and provide solutions to the developers to fix the issues. Required to be willing to provide knowledge sharing trainings to others. Expertise in WCAG2.1/2.2 Guidelines, IBM Checklist, US-Section508 Checklist, European and Canadian Guidelines. Expertise in ARIA Concepts. Work with development team to make and prioritize remediation recommendations. Prepare VPAT / ACRs. Display knowledge of current and evolving regulations including Section 508, WCAG 2.0 AA and 2.1 AA, European guidelines and other Accessibility standards. Effectively communicate program execution status, accomplishments and risks to leadership. Experience in Lead role in the area of accessibility in both web and mobile. Ability to provide collaborative direction to other stakeholders including design and development. Knowledge of relevant US and global government regulations in highly regulated industries. Highly self-motivated and directed professional with keen attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, agile environment to prioritize and meet timelines Added advantage in Accessibility-related certification (508 Trusted Tester, CPACC, WAS (Web Accessibility Specialist).
