This role requires deep technical expertise in IBM MQ, strong understanding of mainframe and distributed systems, and proven experience in complex migration projects. Migration Planning & Strategy Develop a detailed migration roadmap, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. Assess current z/OS MQ configurations and design equivalent or optimized configurations for Linux. Technical Execution Install, configure, and validate IBM MQ on Linux environments. Migrate queues, topics, channels, and security configurations from z/OS to Linux. Ensure compatibility and integration with existing applications and middleware. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer Create detailed documentation of the new MQ environment and migration steps. Provide knowledge transfer to support teams on managing MQ in Linux environments. Required Skills & Qualifications: Technical Expertise Strong experience with IBM MQ on both z/OS and Linux platforms. Knowledge of mainframe concepts (JCL, RACF) and Linux administration. Familiarity with MQ clustering, high availability, and disaster recovery setups. Proven track record of leading MQ migrations or similar middleware migrations.
