This includes modifying JCL steps and PROCs, SORT/ICETOOL cards, and utility control statements, as well as adjusting DD statements and file attributes as needed in an automated way. Working knowledge of REXX and assoicated automation or with python is required. The engineer must ensure restart and recovery logic of entire batch flows remains intact, while segregating functionality scheduling dependencies and batch window performance. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience with JCL on z/OS, proficiency in utilities such as DFSORT and familiarity with GDGs, VSAM, and flat file processing.
