Sector - Distribution RTH - Y No of Position - 1 Total - 3-4 Yrs Relevant - 3+ Yrs Detailed Job Description: Position Overview We are looking for experienced On-Premises MS SQL Server Database Administrator with min 3 years of hands-on experience managing & supporting enterprise SQL Server environments. Key Responsibilities Core Database Administration. Install, configure, patch, and upgrade SQL Server (2016–2022) in on-prem environments. Manage SQL Server instances on Windows Server, including installation, configure, database maintenance, backups, restores, index management, and consistency checks (DBCC). Monitor and resolve operational issues such as blocking, deadlocks, and resource bottlenecks. High Availability & Clustering. Design, configure, and manage Always On Availability Groups (AG) for high availability and disaster recovery. Manage SQL Server on Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) including failover. Performance Tuning. Diagnose and resolve performance issues using DMVs, Extended Events, Profiler, Query Store, and execution plan analysis. Backup, Restore & DR. Manage backup strategies with full/diff/log backups, retention policies, and restore validations. Handle point-in-time recovery and restore operations. Maintenance & Automation. Configure and maintain SQL Agent jobs, alerts, and database mail. Operational Support. Provide 24x7 on-call support for critical incidents. Work with application and infrastructure teams for deployments and troubleshooting.
