Detailed Job Description: • The consultant will be focusing on the project requirements and the corresponding solution designs per the project team and the order-driven supply planning AMS readiness post go-live. •The primary emphasis is on OBP heuristics( primary and mandatory) , with optimizer knowledge as a secondary asset ( as this is already running in our project in AMS) , and proficiency in key IBP apps is mandatory. Detailed Key Responsibilities – • Proficiency in IBP Model configuration o Planning Area Functions (Copy, Compare etc) o Key-figure Functions (Disaggregation, Helpers, Snapshots) o Attribute Transformations, LPA, standard key-figure calculation functions o Planning Operators and Job Templates • Order-Based Planning (OBP) o OBP Settings, Modelling the integration profiles o Configure and run order-based heuristics to allocate supply, schedule orders, and resolve conflicts o Implement manual adjustments in OBP to refine heuristic outputs as needed o Manage quota planning, deployment rules (push/pull/fairshare), and substitution planning • Specialized Planning Functions o Utilize Transport Load Builder (TLB) to optimize order-based transportation schedules o Handle lateness planning to minimize order delays and prioritize recovery o Schedule orders using routing data, aligning with production and logistics constraints • Optimizer Support (Good-to-Have) o Apply the IBP Supply Optimizer to enhance order plans, focusing on cost and service trade-offs • App Utilization o Leverage Planner Workspace for planning results and adjustments. o Use Projected Stock, Supply Usage, Stock view and Gating Factors to monitor and resolve order issues. o Build dashboards, analytics stories, and custom alerts for order performance tracking. o Manage workflows via Procedure playbooks/Process Templates/Tasks with order-relevant master data • Response Management o Confirm and peg orders based on heuristic outputs and supply availability o Handle substitutions in constrained procurement/production scenarios • Integration and Scenarios o Integrate OBP with SAP ECC/S4HANA for seamless order execution o Simulate order-specific scenarios (e.g., supply disruptions, capacity adjustments) •Knowledge Transfer o Train the APO-SNP team on OBP heuristics and IBP apps, mapping APO processes to new tools o Document / use existing workflows for AMS sustainability Required Skills and Qualifications – • Experience o 2+ years of SAP IBP Response and Supply experience, with strong focus on order-based heuristics o Exposure to SAP APO-SNP or similar order-driven planning tools o Experience in supply chain projects with order fulfillment emphasis • Technical Skills o Expertise in configuringOBP heuristics, including quota planning, deployment, and TLB o Proficiency in lateness planning, substitution rules, and routing-based scheduling o Familiarity with IBP apps: Planner Workspace, Projected Stock, Supply Usage, Gating Factors, etc o Executing scenario planning for supply review meetings in OBP o Basic knowledge of IBP Supply Optimizer (preferred but not mandatory) o Understanding of SAP integration (CPI/RTI) for order data with ECC/S4HANA • Soft Skills o Ability to train and mentor teams on OBP concepts and IBP tools o Strong problem-solving and communication skills to align APO and IBP workflows • Preferred Qualifications o SAP IBP certification (with R/S focus) o Experience in AMS support o Prior APO-to-IBP migration experience in order-driven contexts Key Focus Areas (Training or Expertise Required) – The consultant must excel in or deliver training on: 1.
